SEIBER
TO PRESENT FOR AcademyHealth
Eric Seiber, an
Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health
Sciences, has been invited to present
his research on public hospitals and companies’ decisions to offer
employee health insurance at AcademyHealth’s
Annual Research Meeting in Boston this summer. These meetings bring together
health services researchers, providers, and key decision makers to address
the critical challenges confronting the nation’s health care delivery
system. Dr. Seiber’s research uses
national survey data to determine if employers of low-income workers choose
not to offer insurance to their employees when the employees have access
to a large public hospital as a safety-net source of medical care.
