INTERNATIONAL
SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT PROJECTS
Dr. Hugh Spitler
is currently working with Dr. Sarah Harder, President and Chair of the
National
Peace Foundation and Olga Bessolova, President of the Russian Institute
for Social and Gender Policy in the development of a supplemental grant
proposal to support the development of college student alcohol abuse prevention
programs in the Russian Federation. This proposal is in response to a
request from the international programs section of the National Institute
on Drug Abuse for an international intervention project tied to his recently
funded NIAAA Rapid Response grant for college alcohol abuse prevention.
College alcohol abuse prevention programs developed through the Rapid
Response grant project at Clemson
University over the next three years would be adapted for use in the
university system of the Russian Federation.
