The faculty has grown to its current
composition of ten full-time tenure-track faculty, one full-time Lecturer/Internship
Coordinator, one Research Associate Professor, and three part-time teaching
faculty. Research activity in the Department of Public
Health Sciences has also experienced significant growth with approximately
$100,000 per full-time faculty.

Faculty Research
provides opportunities for students to participate in research projects
in areas such as obesity, physical activity, alcohol & substance abuse,
women’s health, gerontology, hispanic health, minority health, and
violence prevention.
