Dr. Debbie Falta (Environmental Health) joined the DPHS in Fall 2007. Dr. Falta’s research examines environmental epidemiology and human health risk assessment. Her dissertation focused upon evaluating the carcinogenic risks associated with naturally occurring radionuclides in public and private drinking water supplies. This summer she will pilot a Health Impact Assessment for the upstate South Carolina region that attempts to quantify the health outcomes associated with Clean Air Act attainment policies.
