DEVELOPING ONLINE COURSES
The College of Health Education and Human Development is dedicated to extending educational
opportunities to working professionals who are unable to attend class at the main campus. These students appreciate the convenience and flexibility of an online education. To meet their needs, the College of HEHD has developed several models for online courses that include a mix of asynchronous and synchronous communications. HEHD faculty members who are interested in teaching online should contact the Office of Distance Education for guidance in developing a program model, professional development opportunities, instructional design, and time line for implementation for online degrees and individual courses.
FACULTY WORKSHOPS
The Customer Relations and Learning Technologies (CRLT) office in the Clemson Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) department offers an instructor-led faculty development workshop designed to let you explore the various options of interaction, content presentation, and evaluation. At the end of the workshop, you will have completed developing an online course. If you are interested in teaching an online course, you should enroll in this workshop during the term prior to implementing the online course.
