CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITIES

The Center for Research and Collaborative Activities (CRCA) supports and contributes to the College of HEHD’s priority – increase research focus and capabilities. The CRCA facilitates grantsmanship, research, and scholarship by providing a variety of services.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Increase research productivity in HEHD
  • Promote collaborative research environment
  • Support HEHD research initiatives

FUNCTIONS:
Our functions encompass a broad range of services that generally fall into three areas:
(1) Grants, (2) Research and scholarship, and (3) Training and other services.

Grants

  • Identify funding opportunities for faculty
  • Work with faculty to assemble research teams
  • Asssist with biosketches
  • Assist with proposal processing forms
  • Assist with electronic submissions
  • Assist with grant budgets
  • Review grant for compliance with funder specifications and university policies
  • Assist with post-award grant budgets and management

Research and Scholarship

  • Provide research design and statistics consultation
  • Conduct literature review
  • Training faculty on SPSS database set-up
  • Review manuscripts
  • Format references
  • Conduct data searches

Training and Other Support

  • Host workshops
  • Provide meeting space
  • Provide research related copier services
  • Design and create publications and graphics
