Research and Service: Collaborative Projects

AOP Hub

The Hub offers a variety of professional development institutes, some of which are the invitational Curriculum Leadership Institutes for Teacher Leaders in mathematics and science, Technology Programs for teachers wanting to maximize the use of computers and calculators in mathematics and science instruction, and the Administrative Leadership Institutes for principals and other administrators responsible for supporting teachers' efforts to innovate and change.

Collaborative Research and Creative Activities for Family & Community Well-Being

Faculty engage in research and creative activities aligned with niche areas designed to strengthen family and community well-being. Each niche area currently has external funding or is positioning to seek funding. The niche areas operationalize projects/initiatives that address five (5) collaborative areas. These five “Collaboratives” are interdisciplinary and have leaders who facilitate teams of faculty coming together to develop and implement innovative research and creative activities.

National Dropout Prevention Center

The mission of the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network is to serve as a research center and resource network for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to reshape school and community environments to meet the needs of youth in at-risk situations so these students receive the quality education and services necessary to succeed academically and graduate from high school.
