Reading Recovery® University Trainer

Clemson University’s Eugene T. Moore School of Education announces a tenure track faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level beginning August 2009 or when available.

 

Qualifications for the Reading Recovery® University Trainer position include: (a) doctorate in a related area; (b) experience in teaching children; (c) experience in teacher education; (d) evidence of leadership and collaboration; (e) skills in grantsmanship and policy; and (f) excellent communication and problem-solving skills including ability to work with parents, teachers, principals, superintendents, university faculty and administrators, legislators, and school board members.

 

Adhering to the Standards and Guidelines of the Reading Recovery® Council of North America, responsibilities include teaching graduate courses to train Reading Recovery® teachers and teacher leaders; working with school districts and the State Department of Education to implement quality Reading Recovery® programs; providing assistance and systematic visitation to Reading Recovery® professionals in school districts; teaching Reading Recovery® children; collaborating in program research and evaluation; and assisting with administration of the program.
