This new concentration has been initiated by the Department of Public Health Sciences in response to emerging trends and changes in health administration, and the increasing desire of students to work in the area of health administration. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of medical and health services managers is expected to grow faster that the average for all occupations through 2010 as the health services industry continues to expand and diversify.
