Research and Collaboration

The College is committed to building and sustaining collaborative partnerships. Five (5) collaborative areas have been identified and will provide focus and direction for research and creative activities. These Collaboratives are interdisciplinary and have leaders who facilitate teams of faculty and partners coming together to develop and implement innovative research, education and outreach activities. The collaborative areas are:

  • Disparities in Health and Education
  • Family and Youth Development
  • Gerontology "Aging in Place"
  • Innovations in Education
  • Tourism and Community Development

To support and facilitate collaborative activities, the College sponsors a Faculty Research Forum. This event has been held annually since 1999.
