Special Programs
The Executive Development Program
The Executive Development Program (EDP) for Park and Recreation Professionals provides training and networking opportunities to professionals with a focus on the latest concepts, practices, and management techniques needed to continually improve themselves, their departments, and the communities they serve.
The Executive Development Program is a two-year program. Each year consists of a 22- to 30-hour week of intense classroom instruction. The week begins on Sunday evening with registration, dinner and orientation and closes on Thursday evening with a graduation banquet.
South Carolina Recreation Development Project
The mission of the South Carolina Recreation Development Project is to provide research, consulting, technical support, and training services and to develop resources that will assist the South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association and recreation agencies throughout South Carolina in implementing and sustaining the Vision Plan.
The mission of Strut your Mutt is to provide a fun, family friendly activity for the community to encourage interaction with each other and their dogs while raising money for local animal shelters. This will continue to link Clemson University's Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management Department with the community in a positive way.
