M. PRTM Degree

This degree is designed to develop facility in the applications of advanced leisure services delivery skills.

Enrollment in the M.PRTM program requires evidence of three years of full-time experience in the field. This must be submitted with the application. GRE scores are not necessary for the M.PRTM degree.
Course Requirements: 20 hours
- PRTM 801 Philosophical Foundations (3 credits)
- PRTM 803 Seimar in Recreation & Park Administration (3 credits)
- PRTM 806 Special Problems (3 credits)
- PRTM 808 Behavioral Aspects of PRTM (3 credits)
- PRTM 811 Research Methods in PRTM (3 credits)
- PRTM 910 Research Seminar (2 credits)
- GRADUATE STATISTICS COURSE (3-4 credits)
- Additional credits (16) reflecting graduate emphasis area. At least 3 of the credits must be in the management area.
- At least one-half of the total graduate credit hours required by the advisory committee must be selected from courses numbered 700 or above.
TOTAL: 36 hours
Project:- A terminal masters project (PRTM 709) is required.
- The M.PRTM project required of all students must follow the approved PRTM Department Structure. The project must include but is not limited to the following: Introduction, Background of the Study, Literature Review, Problem Statement, Research Questions, Results and Discussions.
Committee:
The student's committee must consist of at least three faculty members. A majority must be from PRTM.
